The SCORPION programme is part of the 2020 French army strategy. Its aim is to modernise the main items of army unit equipment and ensure they can be adapted to new tactical challenges. The Combat Information System (CIS) at the heart of this programme is a unique information system: an information and command system for the army’s new platforms. It allows all available tactical information to be shared securely on the battle field. Our Qualification Engineer consultant is responsible for testing and providing feedback on any possible malfunctions before the system is rolled out.

The first French offshore wind farm will be launched in Saint Nazaire in the spring of 2022. With a wealth of experience in onshore wind farms, our client GE Renewable Energy is among the major players working on making this project a reality. We are supporting it in assembling the 80 Haliade 150-6MW turbines which will form the future wind farm. In order to ensure their long-term reliability, our consultant evaluates and coordinates any changes requested by the design office with those involved in the Supply Chain.

Histolog™ Scanner: an innovative scanner for use in cancer surgery

The Histolog™ Scanner was designed using innovative technology created by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne - EPFL) and is intended for use in cancer surgery. It provides direct analysis of a tumour in the operating theatre, enabling the surgeon to determine if the tumour has been removed completely and thus limit the number of additional operations. The Swiss start-up estimates that this procedure can reduce re-operations by up to 90% and thus improve the quality of patients’ lives. Our consultant is supporting SamanTree Medical with the design, development and industrialisation of the Histolog™ Scanner’s disposable optical interface.

Work carried out since 2019 to extend and modernise Roland-Garros has enabled the site to welcome up to 45,000 spectators per day and provide better conditions for both spectators and players. Our all-trades Site Supervisor worked for Vinci Construction on various aspects of the project: the VIP and player village, Philippe-Chatrier Court (which now has seating for 15,000 spectators and a retractable roof which can be closed in 10 minutes) and other areas of the stadium such as the presidential box, kitchens and locker rooms.

The CDG Express is a project to provide a high-speed rail link between Paris Roissy CDG Airport and the Gare de l’Est. Its opening is currently scheduled for 2025. This new rail line will help relieve congestion on the RER B and roads between Paris and Roissy and at last provide a service for both tourists and investors that is fast, comfortable and worthy of one of the world’s largest airports. We have 8 consultants working on the SNCF platform at Saint Denis: 1 contracting authority assistance technical expert, 1 building/geotechnical project manager, 1 assistant project manager, 4 multi-trade project studies coordinators and 1 assistant project studies coordinator.
