Maxime-Gaël Ngayap Hambou, 23, is the epitome of determination in judo. Ranked 2nd nationally in the under 90kg class at just 21, he joined the French senior team in 2022 after winning the titles of French Junior Champion, European Junior Champion and World Junior Team Champion in 2021. A resident at INSEP for 17 years, he juggles his career as a top-level judoka with his studies in STAPS. Ranked 26th in the world, Maxime-Gaël shone at the Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam 2023 (2nd place) and the Paris Grand Slam 2023 (7th place), confirming his meteoric rise.
